About Yoko's Haute Coiffure/B-Yu Head Spa

Yoko's Haute Coiffure is a Vidal Sassoon concept salon where all of our staff are Sassoon trained in London and L.A. Our goal is to achieve a Total Personalized Look for every individual who walks into our salon. We are very concerned about the environment and the toxins we use on our bodies, so we try to use where ever possible only products that are based on natural ingredients. Using precision cutting, we work with hair in its natural state, treat hair as an organic material and we thrive to achieve sophisticated and contemporary looks which clients love. We view this profession as a creative technical craft in which we shape and balance the hair by cutting and coloring to reflect the individual and reveal their natural beauty.

However, we believe that beauty is not only skin deep. It is created from within our body. Hence, we also feel it is important to create a non-toxic, healing environment within our salon. We stress the importance of using products that are "nature-based" and colorings which are ammonia-free. Our make up is based on natural minerals.

Although we spend so much time taking care of our facial skin by going to facials and purchasing products to prevent the effects of aging, we neglect the condition of our scalp. We forget that the scalp and the face are connected with the same thin layer of skin! Our scalp - like facial skin - is also susceptible to the following factors: toxins, air pollution, chlorine, UV rays, minerals and water pollution, which all contribute to the ubiquitous problem of 'thinning hair'.
