Your Hair Knows…That The Season Is Changing…

Your hair knows…that the season is changing….

It’s that time of year again!   As the seasons change, so does our hair.  It’s a natural cycle where the hair responds to changes in weather and daylight.  Twice a year (mid-march to mid-may and mid-seaptember to mid-november) there may be peaks in hair fall, but it should be temporary, not more than 2 months.  This should not be mistaken for nutrient deficiencies, hormonal imbalances or other underlying health factors.  Poor hair hygiene and product buildup will obstruct the funnels and prevent new hairs in the terminal phase from getting released, therefore inhibiting new hair growth.  That’s why it is crucial that we deep cleanse the scalp and follicles to make room for new Anagen hairs.

Also please remember to incorporate a well balanced diet for hair health year round.  Here are some spring time superfoods: Asparagus, Spinach, Radishes, Watercress.
